Mango Pickle

INGREDIENTS

1 teaspoon brown mustard seeds
½ teaspoon cumin seeds
100ml vegetable oil
1 x 400g can mango cheeks, diced into 2 cm cubes

½ teaspoon chilli powder
½ teaspoon ground turmeric
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon white sugar

METHOD

Place the mustard seeds, cumin seeds and oil in a frypan, heat over a medium heat until the seeds pop or until fragrant.

Remove from the heat. Stir through the mango, chilli, turmeric, salt and sugar. Allow to cool. Refrigerate for two hours. Stir well and serve.
